Mahesh Babu's next titled Guntur Kaaram

Superstar Mahesh Babu has announced that his latest Telugu film has been titled Guntur Kaaram.

The 47-year-old actor shared the title and teaser of the new film on social media on Wednesday as he paid tribute to his father and actor Krishna on his birth anniversary.

"Today is all the more special! This one's for you Nanna," Babu wrote on Instagram alongside the new film's poster.

A veteran of Telugu cinema, Ghattamaneni Sivarama Krishna, popularly known as Krishna, died in November 2022 at the age of 80.

In another post, Babu shared the film's title. "Highly inflammable! #GunturKaaram" he wrote.

The movie is directed by Trivikram, who earlier worked with the superstar for the films Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010).

Produced by S Radha Krishna under Haarika & Hassine Creation, "Guntur Kaaram" also stars Pooja Hegde and Sree Leela. The movie is scheduled to be released in theatres countrywide on January 13, 2024.

British Indians hold vigil for Air India crash victims

DOZENS of members from Britain’s Indian community gathered at a Hindu temple in London on Saturday (14) to mourn the victims of last week’s Air India crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Many of those attending the vigil at the Siddhashram Hindu temple in Harrow had personal connections to the victims.

Leaders from different faiths — including Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Parsi, and Zoroastrian communities — joined hands in prayer, as chants filled the temple hall. A representative of King Charles also attended, reading a message from the monarch and offering Christian prayers for the victims and their families.
