Madhuri Dixit is all set to make her digital debut with Netflix’s series which is tentatively titled as Actress. The series will be produced by Karan Johar’s digital content company, Dharmatic.

Before the lockdown was announced, in March, Madhuri had shot for the series for a few days, and now according to a report in Mid-day, the actress is all set to resume the shoot by the end of this month or early next month.

A source told the tabloid, “The makers have decided to take the 15-day shoot to Nashik; they intend to film with a lean crew, adopting the bio-bubble mode. With the makers having already zeroed in on a bungalow for the leg, the production team has begun constructing the set at the site. Madhuri and the rest of the team are expected to drive down to Nashik by the month-end or early November.”

Reportedly, Actress revolves around the life of the people who belong to showbiz. Last year, while making an announcement about the series, Karan Johar had tweeted, "We've got the queen of all things beautiful & grace for an upcoming @NetflixIndia original...time to create magic in the digital space with her! @Dharmatic_ @apoorvamehta18."

Madhuri was last seen on the big screen in the 2019 release Kalank. Apart from the web series, she currently doesn’t have any other projects in her kitty.

During the lockdown, the actress has been sharing a lot of videos on social media about how she is spending time with her family. She had also launched a single titled Candle.

Young British Asians finally get a platform on BBC Asian Network to talk identity, mental health and work life

Highlights:

  • BBC Asian Network is starting a new show called Asian Network Trending.
  • The show runs for two hours every week and is made for young British Asians.
  • It covers the topics that matter most to them like what’s trending online, questions of identity, mental health etc.
  • Amber Haque and the other hosts will share the show in turns, each talking about the issues they know and care about.
  • The network is moving to Birmingham as part of bigger changes behind the scenes.

Speaking up isn’t always easy. This show gives young people a space where their voices can be heard. Music on the radio, sure. Bhangra, Bollywood hits, endless remixes. But real conversations about identity, family pressure, mental health? Rarely. Until now.

From 27 October, Asian Network Trending goes live every Wednesday night for two hours of speech instead of beats. The first hour dives into trending news; the second hour goes deeper into family expectations, workplace racism, LGBTQ+ issues, and mental health stigma. And it’s not just one voice. Amber Haque and other rotating presenters keep it fresh.
