Let the bad be burnt, urges popular TV star, Kanan Malhotra!

For actor Kanan Malhotra, who plays the role of Vishnu in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's popular mythological show, Mahakaali– Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, Dussehra is a big deal. The actor feels that besides celebrating by burning Ravan effigies, wearing new clothes and eating great food, we should also focus our energy on finding out the true meaning behind the festival and use it to bring out a valuable change in our lives.

"The festival of Dussehra indicates the victory of truth over evil power. It is celebrated by burning the effigy of Ravan. This is symbolic of the victory of good over evil. In a similar fashion, drawing an analogy from this festival, we should get rid of our bad habits and all the negativity. Whatever be the intensity of the negativity, the essence is to let the bad be burnt, so that good can prevail in our future life," he says.

Ask him if there is anything that he would like to change in himself on this day, and he says, "The only negative trait which I would like to kill is my anger and my quick-tempered behaviour. It's important to think things through rationally."

Meanwhile, the actor is grateful for the overwhelming response to his show. "The response to my character and the show has been phenomenal. People have been messaging me to tell me how much they love watching me in Mahakaali. I am thrilled with the feedback that I have been getting," he says.
