Kanchi Singh denies rumours of re-entering Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

We have seen many entries and exits in the longest running show on Indian television, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Started in 2009, the series has seen many highs and lows in its enviable run. One low was when actress Kanchi Singh, who played Gayu, bid adieu to the show.

However, the latest promo airing on Star Plus, which has arrested the attention of many viewers, suggests that the character of Gayu is making a return to the show. In the new promo, we can see that the Goenkas, Maheshwaris and Singhanias are celebrating togetherness and just then Gayu enters, leaving Kartik and Naira bewildered.

Since the makers have not revealed the face of Gayu in the promo, it has led the viewers to believe that actress Kanchi Singh is returning to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. However, Singh says she is not re-entering the series.

"No, I am not re-entering the show. Not even thought of being a part of it, again! I got to know 2 -3 days back that the makers are getting back Gayu when fans started messaging me on my social media. But I just want to say that the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai chapter is over for me and I have moved on," the actress told an entertainment portal.

Well, it will be interesting to see who the makers have cast to replace Kanchi Singh for the role of Gayu.
