Kajol's Eela to arrive in cinemas on 14th September, 2018

Last seen in Rohit Shetty's romcom Dilwale (2015) opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol is currently shooting for her next Hindi film, titled Eela. Today, the makers announced the official release date of the movie. Helmed by Parineeta and Mardaani fame Pradeep Sarkar, Eela will arrive in cinemas on 14th September, 2018.

Eela is a screen adaptation of Anand Gandhi’s popular Gujarati play, Beta Kaagdo. The film sees Kajol in the role of a single mother. It primarily revolves around the relationship shared between a mother and her son.


While Kajol essays the role of a mother, talented actor Riddhi Sen has been cast to play her onscreen son. Sen shot to fame after winning National Award for Best Actor 2018 for his Bengali film, Nagarkirtan. Neha Dhupia is also a part of the film; she plays the role of a drama instructor.

The movie is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi’s Gujarati play, Beta Kaagdo. Kajol plays a single parent in the film, which revolves around the relationship shared by a mother and son.

Eela is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Limited.

Celebrities unite to capture the spirit of a home World Cup

Actor Daisy May Cooper and comedian Guz Khan have teamed up with sporting stars and online creator Max Fosh for a new campaign designed to build excitement ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

Set in a fictional writers' room, the campaign follows the group as they attempt to find the perfect way to explain what hosting a World Cup means. As ideas bounce around the room, Khan recalls his "legendary" backyard cricket exploits while Fosh tries to steer the discussion towards a more meaningful message.
