In my head, I have amazing babies with Vin Diesel: Deepika

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, on her debut appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, has revealed that she has a huge crush on her “xXx” co-star Vin Diesel and in her head they have “amazing babies” together.

The 31-year-old actress made her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, which released in India last Saturday. Ahead of its US release, Deepika visited comedian-TV host Ellen DeGeneres on her popular show to promote the action film.

Ellen asked her if there is a “romance going on” saying, “That’s what you would get from that as well, which there. Oh! Look at that face! Does that mean there is? Because that’s what the rumour is.”

Deepika replied, “Well, there is no smoke without fire you know, and look at that!”

When the TV host further probed, the actress said, “But, it’s all in my head!! You know.

“So yeah, I mean in my head I think, like yeah, we are together and we have this amazing chemistry, and we live together and we have these amazing babies! But it’s all in my head,” she added.

Not quite getting her answer, a confused Ellen asked, “Now you just became crazy! I don’t know what happened, first it was a crush and now you have babies. I don’t know.”

“Deepika replied, “Never a crush!”

The episode will air on Romedy Now this Thursday (19) at 7pm.

TroyBoi returns to his Indian roots with Rootz EP using Lata Mangeshkar’s voice to redefine British diaspora music

Highlights:

  • TroyBoi’s five-track EP Rootz is a personal return to the sounds of his childhood, released via Ultra Records in September 2025.
  • The single Kabhi uses an officially cleared sample of Lata Mangeshkar’s vocal from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
  • Collaborations with Amrit Maan, Jazzy B and BombayMami plug Punjabi, Bhangra and south-Asian textures directly into modern trap and bass production.
  • This EP is part of a wider wave: British artists born into diasporas are using heritage not as garnish but as foundation.

Some albums hit you in ways you don’t see coming. Rootz is one of them. Not just another trap EP. TroyBoi, the London-born producer known for global bass and trap, has made something that’s also deeply personal. He didn’t just want to make music that bangs in clubs; instead, he wanted to reach back to the India of his childhood. And he did it with Rootz.

The track everyone’s talking about is Kabhi. Because it’s not just sampling Bollywood. Lata Mangeshkar’s voice was officially cleared for use on a non-Bollywood release, a milestone reported by multiple outlets. It’s history. It’s memory. And it’s a bridge.
