Father-daughter duo Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan to team up

Speculations are rife in Bollywood that Saif Ali Khan will soon team up with daughter Sara Ali Khan for a slice-of-life film to be directed by Filmistan (2013) fame director Nitin Kakkar.

"It’s a comical, but poignant take on the friendship and the equation that exists between a father and his daughter. But it will have a message, too," a source close to the development reveals.

Reportedly, Kakkar approached the father-daughter duo of Saif and Sara recently to give a script narration. Both liked the script and gave their verbal confirmation to the project. They might sign the movie on the dotted line soon.

The source adds further, “Nitin has also approached Sara Ali Khan for the role of the daughter. This will probably be Saif and Sara’s first film together. Both of them have liked the story and have verbally given their nod. Now, the modalities and the dates need to be sorted out. Sara and Saif were Nitin’s first choices and the makers thought it would make for an interesting casting coup.”

Interestingly, Sara has been bagging one plum project after another even before the release of her debut film. The newcomer makes her debut with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath. She is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's cop film Simmba.
