Fan Club Of The Week - Hina Khan

SMALL screen superstar Hina Khan has won over fans globally with her various terrific turns on TV. One of the dedicated admirers is Maryam Chaudry, who was inspired to start a popular fan club. Eastern Eye caught up with her to find out more...

What made you set up the fan club?

We were crazy fans since the time she worked in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) and wanted to connect with people who truly love my dream girl. So I created the fan club to share all updates about Hina Khan. A big thanks to our followers for their immense love and support!

Tell us about your fan club...

We have every kind of information about Hina Khan, including videos, photos, interviews and more. More than that, it is a platform to express our love towards her. We are connected with all amazing fan clubs of Hina like @hinaholics, @hinaddicts, @_hinakhanteam and @The hinakhan FC, so that is wonderful.

What has been your best moment?

Life is a collection of happy moments, so it’s difficult to choose just one. Best moments include Hina sending us birthday wishes in our emails and Rocky Jaiswal proposing to her on Bigg Boss 11. Also when she wins awards is always memorable.

What is the best thing you like about Hina Khan?

That Hina is a strong, brave and honest person. Our lioness faces every challenge without giving up and has a lot of strength. She is so hard-working! Her eight-year YRKKH journey was an example of girl power, and her time on Bigg Boss 11 taught us how to stand up for ourselves. I love her caring nature and loyalty towards fans. We love her spirit and never-say-die nature.

What is favourite work she has done?

She did wonderful things on Khatr-on Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss, but it has to be her eight-year journey of YRKKH as Akshara. The great thing about her is that Hina always shines because she gives more than 100 per cent every time. We really love her acting skills as she comes across as so real. That success as an actress came through sheer hard work, which is inspirational in so many ways.

Tell us an interesting fact about Hina Khan?

The most interesting fact is her beautiful voice. She has sung many songs, including one of our favourites Lag Ja Gale. She is such a special person with so many talents. We wish her the best.

What is your definition of a true fan?

A true fan stands with their idol through the ups and downs. True fans always appreciate, love and respect their idols. Fans love their idols for who they are. I have learned many good things from Hina Khan and will support her always.

Is this the end of ‘Ms Marvel’ after what Red Dagger just revealed?

It’s been nearly two years since Ms. Marvel made its debut on Disney+, and while fans have been waiting for news about a second season, actor Aramis Knight has shared a fairly grim update. Knight, who played the character Red Dagger (Kareem) in the series, revealed that he hasn’t heard anything about a return and doesn’t think it’s happening anytime soon.

Speaking at the Karate Kid: Legends premiere in New York, Knight admitted that the chances of Season 2 seem slim. “I don’t think so,” he said when asked if he’ll be back. “It’s been a while now. I’d love to return, but things didn’t line up, COVID, scheduling, and maybe even some creative shifts. I’m still waiting on a call, but I haven’t heard anything.”
