Ekta Kapoor denies remaking Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham for TV

Of late, social media was flooded with reports that producer Ekta Kapoor is bringing the television adaptation of Karan Johar's multi-starrer blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. However, Kapoor has denied all such rumours with a simple tweet from her handle.

On Tuesday, Ekta Kapoor took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "I’m not making Kabhi Khushi Kabhi gum! I’m making a (soap) about (a) rich family that own(s) a pharmaceutical business! The story is completely diff(erent)!! Soon on. SONY!."


According to reports, the new show which Ekta is launching on Sony Entertainment Television is called Dil Hi Toh Hai.

Talking about the cast of the series, we hear that Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 fame Omkar Kapoor has bagged the male lead, while actress Yogita Bihani, who grabbed the limelight after appearing with superstar Salman Khan in the promo of the upcoming show Dus Ka Dum 3, has been roped in to play the role of Palak Sharma in the show.

Abhishek dismisses speculation

Abhishek Bachchan has spoken firmly against rumours about his marriage to Aishwarya Rai, calling the talk “falsehood” and “manufactured rubbish”. He says the stories are neither factual nor harmless and have followed the couple for years.

He explains that such speculation does not affect him because he and Aishwarya know the truth of their relationship. “We go back to a happy and healthy family, which is most important,” he says. While he respects the press, he adds that the media “tends to get it wrong a lot of times”.
