Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina to headline ZEE5 original Kaafir

OTT is the next big thing which has arrested everybody’s attention and how. Not only television actors, but many film actors are also taking a plunge into the digital world to explore newer avenues. The latest Bollywood celebrity who is set to make her digital debut is Dia Mirza.

The actress, who was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju (2018), is set to headline the ZEE5 original Kaafir. Joining her on the cast will be popular television actor Mohit Raina who recently made his silver screen debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019).


Kaafir is being produced by Siddharth and Sapna Malhotra. They will bankroll the project under their banner Alchemy Films Pvt Ltd. Bhavani Iyer has written the series, while Sonam Nair has come onboard to direct it.

Dia and Mohit will play each other's love interest in Kaafir. Search for actors to play other important characters is on.

Preity Zinta has moved a step closer to taking legal action against Google, Meta and several other entities after the Bombay High Court granted her permission to file a civil suit over the alleged misuse of her identity online.

The actor's proposed case centres on claims that AI-generated deepfakes, altered images, chatbot personas and other forms of digital content have been created and circulated without her consent, infringing on her rights and damaging her reputation.
