Is Dhadak the title of Jhanvi Kapoor's debut movie?

Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut film, which is a Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster, Sairat, is finally gathering speed. The film, which is going to mount floors next month after a lot of speculations around its commencement, has reportedly been titled Dhadak.

Besides Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, the much-awaited film also stars Shahid Kapoor's half-brother Ishaan Khattar. Ishaan will mark her Bollywood debut with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds.

Sairat, which starred Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in lead roles, was based against the backdrop of the interiors of Maharashtra, whereas Dhadak will reportedly have a backdrop Haryana. It will deal with the subject of honour killings.

Jhanvi and Ishaan both have started their preparations for their roles in the movie. They have been attending script reading sessions over the past couple of months. Apart from sweating it out in the gym, the duo is also been attending dance and acting classes.

To be produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak is expected to hit screens in mid-2018.
