Arjun Kapoor wants Amit Sharma to helm his next

Last seen in Anees Bazmee's comic-caper Mubarkan, actor Arjun Kapoor has a number of projects in his hand, one of them being the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. According to reports, Kapoor wants that director Amit Sharma, who directed him in Tevar, helms the remake.

A trade source informs, “Amit has just completed another film called Badhaai Ho with Ayushmann Khurrana and Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra. Arjun, who shares a fabulous equation with Amit, has asked the makers to sign him on. Ashwin and Murad Khetani, who are bankrolling the remake, want the flavour of the original retained. They may give in for Amit, but will make sure that the art of the first film isn’t lost in translation."

The title of the Hindi remake has not been finalized as yet but if some sources are to be believed, the makers may lock Arjun Kapoor as the final title because the main character hails from Punjab, unlike its Telugu version.

Besides starring in the Arjun Reddy remake, Arjun Kapoor has mega-budgeted Namastey England, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Panipat in his kitty.
