Aditi Sanwal to pair opposite Faizal Khan in Chandragupta Maurya

A couple of days ago, we had reported that the popular Sony Entertainment Television show Chandragupta Maurya was set for a generation leap, post which actor Faizal Khan was to play grown-up Chandragupta.

The big-ticket historical series has already taken the much-talked-about generation leap and child actor Kartikey Malviya, who played younger Chandragupta on the show, has been replaced by Faizal Khan.

The latest update on the show is that the makers are now gearing up to introduce a new character called Durdhara, the Princess of Magadh. She is also the sister of Dhananand. News has it that actress Aditi Sanwal has been roped in to play the character of Durdhara.

Aditi Sanwal was seen in Bollywood star John Abraham’s hit film Satyameva Jayate (2018). Now she has bagged the female lead in Chandragupta Maurya. “Shoot with the new Durdhara in Aditi Sanwal has stated,” a source close to the development revealed.

Chandragupta Maurya is produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary under the banner of Swastik Productions. It is one of the top-rated shows on Sony Entertainment Television.
