Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to star in a cop film

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are Bollywood’s golden couple. Many filmmakers have approached the power couple to star together in their film. As per the recent reports, Aishwarya and Abhishek have been roped in together for a cop film. However, Aishwarya suggested changes in the script. Reports suggest that the film is finally going on floors.

A source said to a leading Indian daily,  “An official announcement to this regard will be made soon. Shailesh is very keen on the project — the story is about cops based in Uttar Pradesh, who are also married to each other. It is a very intense film; there is a new director who will be helming the film. An announcement will be made very soon on the project.”

Earlier, a source had said, “Abhi-Ash were in talks for a film with Shailesh R Singh. While Abhi was already on board, discussions were on with Ash and her team for the same. The real-life couple would’ve reunited on screen after eight long years. But the movie has supposedly been put on the back burner. In fact, the project has been pushed ahead indefinitely.”

“Ash is choosy about her projects. She had some issues with the script and wanted a few changes, which had not happened. Meanwhile, she signed another film (the remake of Raat Aur Din). Abhishek also took up a few movies. Since the whole idea was to get Abhi and Ash together on screen, once she backed out, he too found the whole thing pointless. There were budget issues as well,” the source added.
