Abhishek & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finalize their next

After not featuring in a film together for 8 long years, one of the most loved onscreen and offscreen couples, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is set to make a comeback as a duo.

Yes, you heard that right! Aish and Abhi have signed a movie together. Titled Gulab Jamun, the film will be made by noted filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. It will be directed by Sarvesh Mewara for Phantom Films.

Though the project is yet to be announced officially, insiders confirm it is indeed happening. More details on the plot and other cast members are still awaited.

Abhishek and Aishwarya first starred together in Raj Kanwar’s romantic movie Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, which released in the year 2000. It was followed up by another romantic drama Kuch Na Kaho in 2003. After the moderate success of Kuch Na Kaho, the couple went on to headline such films as Umrao Jaan (2006), Guru (2007) and Sarkar Raj (2008). Their last movie together was Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, released in 2010.

Talking about Gulab Jamun, a source divulged, “The film is positively moving ahead and the production will be announced very soon.”

Meanwhile, Aishwarya is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Fanne Khan. Hubby Abhishek, on the other hand, has just wrapped up his next Manmarziyan, helmed by none other than Anurag Kashyap.
