Virendra Sharma, Labour MP from Ealing and Southall, and Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of the Arora Hotels, have won Pride of Punjab Award 2017 for their outstanding contribution to the communities in the UK. Britain’s secretary of state for communities and local government, Sajid Javid MP, presented the awards to them at the annual dinner of the Punjabi society of the British Isles on Thursday night.
