Three Personality Traits of Effective Business People

By: Admin Super

In this modern era, our golden capitalist age, we have almost superseded our instinct to simply survive. Now, we strive to live and to live well at that. A lavish luxury can be ours for the taking. It’s not only a select few who can have a look into the American Dream these days. Entrepreneurship is becoming increasingly popular as there are growing opportunities to make it in the business world. Yet, in this post we will question what does it really take for someone to be truly a successful businessperson?

Thrifty

Maybe some would say that frugality is a more valued trait for someone who chooses a corporate occupation. However, thriftiness is about using money and other resources with care and not being wasteful. As a leading mogul, one must be cautious but also willing to take risks when they are justified or necessary. It is about being reasonable but bold at the same time. For example, looking to a young college freshman that is majoring in business. They are thrifty if they take out student loans and throw themselves wholeheartedly into their degree, knowing that in the future, their educational experience will add to their dynamism.  It is not a waste; it is an investment, a well thought out strategy that will set up for long-term success. To be effective rather than solely linear, one must make choices that will enhance their chances of continuous accomplishments; this is the art of being financially thrifty.

Ruthless

Typically, this attribute would be considered pejorative, carrying mostly negative connotations. Nonetheless, there is a need to be realistic. The world is a cruel place and business is not for the light-hearted. You have to be determined and a go-getter who is not afraid to go after what they want. You must stand up to people who will inevitably put you down or be envious of your triumphs. See ruthlessness as a positive, that fierce mind-set of working hard, of wanting your employees to be the best so that they prosper alongside you, of letting nothing stand in your way. An almost warrior approach to failure, of always getting back up when you get knocked down. For example, a deal falls through. An effective businessman doesn’t fret, doesn’t back away, they go out there and beat their competitors to the next one. We need to stop shaming people who are hungry to be the best. These are the people who can promise others stellar careers, will make our economies strong and be inspirational to others.

Logically Creative

A seemingly incomprehensible paradox, but it is a stereotype that all businesspeople are suit wearing robots. It goes without saying that an effective entrepreneur must understand the numbers, must have a grip on monetary matters and know the patterns and trends of their particular markets. Yet, they must also unleash their innovative sides. After all, every company stems from an idea and its uniqueness plays a huge role in its success. Connecting with and hence, influencing people absolutely requires creativity and imagination. There are hundreds of hotels, restaurants, shops and services nowadays so you need a vibrancy in order to make yours stand out. This teamed with a focused strategy will certainly help you in the corporate world.
