Dwyane Johnson, popularly known as The Rock, has taken credit for bringing Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas together.
After confirming Priyanka and Nick are happy, Johnson, who acted with the Bollywood beauty in Baywatch and Nick in Jumanji, said: "Well then, I take credit. Baywatch and Jumanji. I did it, yes. If they're happy."
Priyanka and Nick are yet to open up about their romance, but they have been inseparable since the past few months. The duo celebrated the Fourth of July week together and Nick even flew to India to meet Priyanka's family earlier this month.
Priyanka and Nick met during the 2017 Met Gala, and it wasn’t long before people started speculating they were an item. During Priyanka’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show she was asked point blank if there was something going on between her and Nick. But at the time Priyanka laughed it off.
When asked about going to the event together, Priyanka said: “Yeah, we were on the same table and we already know each other. So he was like ‘Hey, you wanna go together?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, OK, let’s go together.’ It ended up working out.”
Rumours of romance reignited this year after the duo spent the Memorial Day weekend with each other. They were spotted attending the Beauty and the Beast Live concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, May 25.
“The two were seen heading to the concessions stand during intermission before returning to their seats to finish taking in the show,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly. “They snuck out right as the show was ending.”
The couple was also spotted at a a Los Angeles Dodgers game. “Priyanka and Nick were talking really closely and were very smiley and very happy,” an onlooker told Us. “They weren’t trying to be private as they were in a pretty public place, but they were talking to people around them, sitting closely and they both just seemed super happy.”
