SRK denies reports of him turning down film with Kangana

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan refutes reports of him saying no to filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s project opposite Kangana Ranaut.

There were reports that Shah Rukh has turned down Bhansali’s movie with Kangana after the Queen actress said that she does not want to work with the Khans as she wants her role to be equal to that of the male actor.

When asked about reports of him saying no to the film Shah Rukh said, “Who told you this? Don’t believe everything what you read.”

Recently the 51-year-old actor had revealed that he was offered two scripts from Bhansali but he has not given nod to any of the projects yet.

The Raees star was talking at the Fourth National Yash Chopra Memorial Award function last night.

When asked any film of Chopra that is close to him, the actor said, “There are too many. I am making one now Ittefaq and may be Jab Tak Hai Jaan as it was his last film.”

Directed by filmmaker BR Chopra’s grandson Abhay, the movie is a remake of 1969 film of the same name which starred yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna and Nanda.

The remake version featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha is produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.

Asked if he would like to be part of the remake SRK said, “I wanted to do the film when I heard the script. But the team right now doing it is very good.”
