It’s Official: Prabhudeva to helm Dabangg 3

After months of speculations and innumerable media reports claiming that the directorial baton might be passed on to Prabhudeva for the third instalment of the highly successful Hindi film franchise, Dabangg, it is official now that the choreographer-turned-filmmaker is indeed helming Dabangg 3.

“I was in Mumbai last week to finalise all the details. Yes, I am directing Dabangg 3 for Salman and Arbaaz Khan. Who says no to them?”, said elated Prabhudeva.

“We have been closely associated for the longest time. I share a warm friendship with Salman Khan and his brothers. When Salman and Arbaaz asked me to direct Dabangg 3, there was no question of saying no,” adds Prabhu.

Dabangg 3 will mark Prabhudeva's second association with Salman Khan after the massive success of Wanted in 2009. Wanted is credited as the film which transformed Salman's career forever and helped him gain a much stronger footing in Bollywood. However, Prabhudeva begs to differ. “Not like that. The biggest of superstars go through ups and downs in their career. Salman is Salman. Flops or hits don’t matter to his career.”

The film is expected to hit the shooting floor soon.
