Kriti Sanon thrilled about starring in Bachchan Pandey

Kriti Sanon, who was last seen in historical drama Panipat (2019), has some exciting projects on her platter. While she has almost finished shooting for Maddock Films’ Mimi, she will soon reunite with superstar Akshay Kumar for Sajid Nadiadwala’s forthcoming production venture Bachchan Pandey. The trio last worked together on rib-tickling comic-caper Housefull 4 (2020).

Sanon calls Bachchan Pandey a complete package, filled with comedy, action and drama, etc. Talking about her role in the upcoming film, she tells an entertainment portal, “Now I can safely say that it is a very, very exciting role. It is also something I have not done before, and for a while.”

She goes on to add that Akshay Kumar also has a kickass role in the flick. “Even Akshay sir has got a very kickass role. You can see the poster. I say he is in a beast mode in the poster. My character is obviously very away from that. But it is a great combination, and I am very excited because it got everything in it. There is comedy, there is action, there is a lot of interesting drama happening. It is a full package film, I would say.”

Bachchan Pandey was announced last year. It will be written and directed by Farhad Samji, who also helmed Housefull 4. The film is scheduled to release on 22nd January, 2021. However, since all shooting activities have come to a grinding halt in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the makers may decide to postpone the film. However, there is no official word on the same.
