Kangana Ranaut to do a thriller before starting her directorial debut Teju!

Kangana Ranaut, who is currently shooting for her upcoming film, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, was quite excited about her directorial debut Teju. She was all set to start the film after wrapping up the historical drama.

But if latest reports are to be believed, the actress has put her ambitious directorial debut on hold. Kangana will first work on a thriller before starting Teju.

Reports also suggest that Kangana will be seen in a negative role in the thriller. It will be a two-hero film and Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana, who were last seen in Bareilly Ki Barfi, are being considered for the roles.

Talking about Kangana’s role in the thriller, a source close to the actress reveals to a daily, “Kangana’s role is nuanced and powerful. She loved the script as she felt it will give her a chance to showcase her acting skills again.”

Kangana will start shooting for this thriller once she is done with Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.

The untitled film will be produced by Shailesh R Singh who also produced Kangana's Simran. The producer says, “Kangana has not done a mystery thriller so far. That’s why we wanted to bring her on board. We’re currently in talks with her. Teju will require about six to eight months of prep before it goes on floors. So, we want to shoot the thriller in the meantime,” he said.

We wish all the very best to the actress for her first thriller film.
