Kajal Aggarwal picked up to play lead in Queen remake!

Starring the gorgeous actress Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, Queen was undoubtedly one of the best films of 2014. Besides garnering unprecedented commercial and critical success, the film walked away with Best Film and Best Actress Awards at the 62nd National Film Awards.

Seeing the popularity of the film in Bollywood, South Indian filmmaker Ramesh Aravind has decided to remake Queen in Tamil. He has even roped in actress Kajal Aggarwal to essay the role which Kangana played in the original film. The Tamil version of the film will be called Paris Paris.

Kajal, who has done a number of Hindi films as well, said she will do the film in her own style. Talking about the movie, she said, "I will treat Paris Paris as an original script and do it in my own style.”

On signing Kajal in the lead role played by Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut, director Ramesh Aravind said, 'Kajal looks beautiful, she has great enthusiasm to learn new things and that’s exactly what a director needs."

Interestingly, Aravind is also directing the Kannada version of Queen. Music composer Amit Trivedi, who scored music for the original film, has been taken onboard to create music for its Tamil remake also.
