Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan to share screen space in Satte Pe Satta remake?

Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan have been in the industry from the past many years, but the two are yet to star in a film together. While a few years ago, there were reports that they would star in a film to be directed by Kabir Khan, later there was no update on it. Now, according to a report in an entertainment portal, Hrithik and Deepika will be teaming up for Satte Pe Satta remake.

The movie will be directed by Farah Khan and produced by Rohit Shetty. A source told the portal, "Both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika Padukone in the movie because not only do they love her but she fits the role to the T. When DP [Deepika Padukone] debuted, everyone felt she had an uncanny resemblance to Hema ji in terms of her beauty as well. When Farah narrated the story to DP, she loved it and instantly gave her nod."

Talking about casting Hrithik, the source said, "Farah [Khan] has already discussed the idea with Hrithik Roshan, who has also given a verbal nod to the project. Farah has reworked the whole script and designed it to suit the contemporary times. They needed a superstar who would command the same screen presence as Big B and Duggu was their first choice."

Satte Pe Satta released in 1982 and starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the lead roles. The film revolved around seven brothers and how changes happen in their lives when the eldest one gets married. The movie has got cult status and we are now excited for the remake of the film.

In February this year Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty had announced that they will be teaming up for several projects and will create the mother of all entertainers.
