Confirmed! Abhishek Bachchan and Priyadarshan team up!

A couple of days back, we had reported that Abhishek Bachchan might join hands with Priyadarshan for his upcoming directorial venture. The acclaimed filmmaker has now confirmed the news that Junior B is indeed a part of the project.

Talking to a tabloid, Priyadarshan said, “Yes, Abhishek is on board. We have been working on the script and will give him a reading this week and will go ahead once he approves of the final script. I’m hoping to start by January.”

The filmmaker also added that his next venture is a comedy which will be at part with his cult comedy film, Hera Pheri, which starred an electric cast of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.

“I’m hoping to come back with another film, which is at par with Hera Pheri. I want to play my second innings in Bollywood carefully,” the director added.

When asked how did he come about casting Junior Bachchan for the role, Priyadarshan said he was always his first choice. “I was looking for someone who is as good as Akshay Kumar when it comes to humour. Abhishek is a brilliant actor. He has got his sense of humour from his father (Amitabh Bachchan). I believe he will do total justice to my film. He was always my first choice”.

It will be Abhishek Bachchan’s first association with Priyadarshan. The untitled film is expected to mount floors very soon.
