Akshay Kumar: I would’ve been disappointed if any other actor recreated Tip Tip Barsa Paani

Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon’s song Tip Tip Barsa Paani from Mohra is undoubtedly one of the most sensual songs of Bollywood. The chemistry between the two actors was the highlight of the track. There have been reports that now after around 25 years, the song will be recreated in Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Sooryavanshi which also stars Katrina Kaif. And well, looks like the reports are true.

Recently, Akshay tweeted that he would have been disappointed if some other actor recreated the song. The actor also thanked producer Ratan Jain. Akshay tweeted, “I would’ve definitely been disappointed if any other actor would’ve recreated Tip Tip Barsa Paani,a song which has been synonymous with me & my career & I can’t thank Ratan Jain ji enough. At times like these you realize,we may have come a long way but we also go back a long way.”

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be seen on the big screen together after a gap of a decade. The two starred together in many super hit films and their jodi was liked by the audiences. It will surely be interesting to see Akshay and Katrina in the recreated version of Tip Tip Barsa Paani.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Sooryvanshi was slated to release on Eid 2020. But as it was going to clash with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt’s Inshallah, the makers changed the release date to 27th March 2020. It was Salman who took to Twitter to announce the new release date of Sooryavanshi. He had tweeted, “I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it... #RohitShetty Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March, 2020.”

This is for the first time when Akshay and Katrina have collaborated with Rohit Shetty. The announcement of Sooryavanshi happened during the climax of last year’s release Simmba.
