Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif currently shooting for Tip Tip Barsa Paani?

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be seen together on the big screen in Sooryavanshi after a gap of a decade. The fans of both actors are quite excited to see them together. In the film, Akshay and Katrina will be shaking a leg on the recreated version of the song Tip Tip Barsa Paani and looks like they are currently shooting for the track.

Katrina posted a picture of herself and Akki from the sets and captioned it as, “Singing in the rain ☔️ #sooryavanshi @akshaykumar @itsrohitshetty @farahkhankunder." Both the actors’ heads are covered with towels and the picture doesn’t give out any detail about their look from the track.

It was a few days ago when Akshay Kumar on Twitter thanked Ratan Jain of Venus for giving them the song. He had tweeted, “I would’ve definitely been disappointed if any other actor would’ve recreated Tip Tip Barsa Paani,a song which has been synonymous with me & my career & I can’t thank Ratan Jain ji enough. At times like these you realize,we may have come a long way but we also go back a long way.”

Akshay and Katrina’s song Gale Lag Ja from De Dana Dan had a few sequences that reminded audiences of Tip Tip Barsa Paani. Kat had also worn a saree similar to Raveena Tandon. Now we are quite excited to see how the two will recreate the original Tip Tip Barsa Paani in Sooryavanshi.

Directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Karan Johar, Sooryavanshi was earlier slated to release on Eid next year. But the release date of the film has been changed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah. It was Salman who had announced the new release date of the film. The superstar had tweeted, “I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it... #RohitShetty Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March, 2020.”

It was in last year’s release Simmba, when Sooryavanshi was officially announced.

Communal tables are back – and Gen Z is leading the way

Highlights:

  • Communal dining tables are becoming popular again, especially among Gen Z.
  • Surveys show younger diners enjoy meeting strangers, while many older diners prefer privacy.
  • Shared tables help tackle loneliness and encourage real-life conversation in a digital age.
  • Restaurants are adapting with supper clubs, shared platters and “come alone” nights.
  • The trend reflects a wider shift toward connection, experience and affordable social dining.

Walk into a place to eat and there is just one huge table. Everyone there is a stranger, talking, laughing, passing bowls around like they already know each other. For some older diners, the setup feels odd. It can come across as too open, almost like someone stepping into your personal space. But younger diners see it differently. For Gen Z, that setup is the fun part, the chance that the person next to you might turn into a friend, or at least a good conversation.

A 2025 Resy survey shows a clear generational split: 90% of Gen Z enjoy communal tables, compared with 60% of Baby Boomers. Beyond numbers, the social benefits are real; making friends, striking up conversations, even finding a date. For a generation often described as “the loneliest,” dining together offers a rare sense of connection.
