After a failed acting career, Imran Khan might go behind the camera

Do you remember Imran Khan? Yes, the same actor, who made his acting debut with the comic-of-age romantic comedy film, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in 2008. Khan had had a dream launch in Bollywood, thanks to his uncle, Aamir Khan, who produced his debut movie.

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na was a big box-office success, winning Imran the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. The actor starred in many films afterwards. Some did well, some flopped miserably. Soon, the count of his flop films outnumbered his successful outings and then the days came when producers started keeping him at arm’s length.

Imran was last seen in filmmaker Nikkhil Advani’s film Katti Batti, which is remembered as one of the biggest disasters of 2015. The actor has not appeared in any films ever since. However, if latest reports are to be believed, Khan is returning to showbiz but as a director.

According to reports, Imran has been working on the script of a short film, of late. Currently, he is planning a vacation with his family. He will begin the casting process as soon as he returns.

"The film is in its planning stage right now. The only fact confirmed is that Imran will be directing the short film, produced by a brand that is known to produce and encourage short films and web series formats. This will not necessarily be a web film but a complete standalone film which will be shown in theatres,” a close source reveals.

We wish Imran all the luck for his new project.
