Scotland's Saltire Scholarships open for India, Pakistan citizens

Applications are now open for Scotland's Saltire Scholarships 2020/21. Citizens of Canada, India, Japan, USA, Pakistan, China and Hong Kong are eligible to apply. The closing date is 1 June 2020.

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships (SSS) is a programme of scholarships run by the Scottish Government in partnership with Scotland’s higher education institutions. It offers up to 50 awards, each worth £8000 towards the annual international tuition fee of successful applicants.


The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as an excellent destination for academic learning and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of Science, Technology, Creative industries, Healthcare and medical sciences, Renewable and clean energy.

Those who pursue studies in these subjects across all of Scotland's universities and higher education institutions.

The winners should maintain a standard of conduct that will uphold the good reputation of the Saltire Scholarship Programme and the institution at which they study. They should actively participate in the programme’s extra-curricular events, and in a welcome reception and an end of year conference, an official communication said.

INDIA's chief justice Surya Kant on Friday (5) said the India-UK free trade agreement (FTA) was a historic step for both countries but warned that its success would depend on having a strong dispute resolution system to support growing commercial activity.
