Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat enters the 100 crore club in 4 days

Salman Khan starrer Bharat released on 5th June 2019. The movie took a fantastic start at the box office and collected Rs 42.30 crore. It was a public holiday (Eid) on Wednesday, and the movie clearly got a boost at the box office. However, after a flying start, the movie showed a downward trend, but one cannot say that the collection is bad as in just four days, Bharat has entered the 100 crore club.

On Thursday it collected Rs 31crore, on Friday the collection was Rs 22.20 crore and on Saturday the movie minted Rs 26.70 crore, taking the four-day total to Rs 122.20 crore. Well, today on Sunday, we can expect the film to have a good jump at the box office. In five days the movie will collect around Rs 150 crore which is quite good. It will be interesting to see how the movie performs on the weekdays.


A couple of days ago, Salman Khan took to Twitter to thank his fans for giving him his career’s biggest opening with Bharat. He tweeted, “Big thk u sabko fr giving sabse bada opening mere career ka par what made me the happiest & proudest is ki during a scene in my film jab national anthem is recited ev1 stood up as a mark of respect. There could be no bigger respect for our country than this... Jai Hind? #Bharat.”

Bharat stars Katrina Kaif opposite Salman Khan and their jodi is loved by audiences. Salman and Katrina, both the actors are getting a lot of praises for their performance in the film. This was Salman as well as Katrina’s third film with director Ali Abbas Zafar. Ali shares a great rapport with both the actors and the team might soon reunite for the third installment of Tiger franchise.

While Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan, Tiger Zinda Hai was helmed by Ali. We are sure fans of Salman and Katrina can’t wait to see them on the big screen as Tiger and Zoya for the third time.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan will next be seen in Dabangg 3 which is slated to release in December this year. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah in his kitty.

Bangladesh minorities raise concerns over violence ahead of February elections

BANGLADESH’s main body representing Buddhist, Hindu and Christian communities on Tuesday raised concerns over a rise in violence against religious minorities ahead of next month’s elections.

The country of about 170 million people, most of them Sunni Muslim, is preparing for its first parliamentary polls since the 2024 uprising that removed the government of Sheikh Hasina. Voting is scheduled for February 12.
