Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya marked the debut of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. Both the actors have achieved a lot in these 12 years. The film also starred Rani Mukerji and Salman Khan in pivotal roles.

On 9th November 2019, Saawariya completed 12 years of its release. Rani spoke to a news agency about her experience of shooting the film. She stated, "I remember having a blast with Sanjay, especially the song Chhabeela which was choreographed by none other than Saroj Khan. It's always a pleasure working with Sarojji and that song was really fun because before that I had worked with Sanjay in Black.”

"This time, I was working with Sanjay in a different set-up, I got to see his musical side and how he is during a song shoot and also Sonam and Ranbir were new so, it was spending time with them on sets and just see Ranbir grow as an actor in that film," the actress added.

Talking about her character Gulabji, Rani said, "That character was quite charming, so all the scenes that I did in Saawariya have been really memorable - the whole get up, the whole look was amazing and Sanjay had a clear vision of how he wants me in his film. I think for the first time I played a character like that and I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Well, Rani will next be seen on the big screen in Mardaani 2 which is slated to release on 13th December 2019. Reportedly, she has also started shooting for Bunty Aur Babli 2.
