An alleged secret police database to track ethic minority officers is set to be at the center of a legal action by a former Asian officer. A Sunday Times investigation found how Mark Dias, who had joined the Cleveland police force in 2006, and other officers of Asian descent, had made allegations about how ethnic minority officers were viewed as corrupt and were subject of surveillance. “I feel sickened and degraded that as a consequence of my Asian heritage I was racially labelled and considered a second-class police officer,” said Dias.
