Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil fails to make a mark at the box office in China

Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil released in India in 2017. The film performed very well at the box office and also got thumbs up from the critics. After two years of its release in India, the makers decided to release the film in China this year. Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam visited China to promote the film, however, reportedly, the movie has failed to make a mark at the box office there.

A trade source told a daily, “Hrithik was told that Kaabil has explorable potential in China, whereas in reality, such suspense-action films are common to China and Korea. The people there want to see films that are Indian and yet convey values common to India and China.”

China has become a very big market for Hindi films. Many movies like Dangal, Andhadhun, Hindi Medium, Hichki, Secret Superstar and others have done very well at the box office in China. Well, the audience in China is clearly looking for something new and unique as they even rejected Aamir Khan starrer Thugs Of Hindostan. Aamir is one actor who has a huge fan following in China, but TOH didn’t do well at the box office there.

While talking about Kaabil releasing in China, Hrithik had earlier said, "Kaabil is extremely close to my heart and it is overwhelming to see it reach even more people now, with the impending release in China. I gave every bit of myself to this specially-abled character. The process of getting into the shoes of the character while fighting a created tragic situation was a powerful and agonizing feeling at the same time.”

Coming to Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film, the actor will next be seen in Super 30 which is slated to release on 12th July 2019. The trailer of the movie was released a couple of days ago and it has received a good response. Directed by Vikas Bahl, Super 30 is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar. The movie also stars Mrunal Thakur and Amit Sadh.

Hrithik is seen in a totally different avatar in Super 30 and we are sure his fans can’t wait to see the film.

AI podcasts flood the internet threatening independent creators and reshaping a $39 billion audio industry

Highlights:

  • AI can make thousands of podcast episodes every week with very few people.
  • Making an AI podcast episode costs almost nothing and can make money fast.
  • Small podcasters cannot get noticed. It is hard for them to earn.
  • Advertisements go to AI shows. Human shows get ignored.
  • Listeners do not mind AI. Some like it.

A company can now publish thousands of podcasts a week with almost no people. That fact alone should wake up anyone who makes money from talking into a mic.

The company now turns out roughly 3,000 episodes a week with a team of eight. Each episode costs about £0.75 (₹88.64) to make. With as few as 20 listens, an episode can cover its cost. That single line explains why the rest of this story is happening.
