Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund was supposed to hit the screens in 2019. But the film was postponed to 2020 and now, finally, the makers have announced the release date of the movie. It will be hitting the screens on 8th May 2020.
The makers have released a teaser of the movie and Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram to share the teaser. He posted, “JHUND .. !! झुंड .. आ गया, आ गया !!Jhund nahi, team kahiye! In cinemas from 8th May 2020. @amitabhbachchan @nagraj_manjule @bhushankumar #KrishanKumar @vinod.bhanushali @hire.raaj @savitaraj121 #GargeeKulkarni #MeenuAroraa @ajayatulofficial @tandavfilmsentertainment #AatpaatProduction @tseriesfilms @tseries.official.”
Well, the teaser is interesting, but what impresses us the most is the music of Ajay-Atul. The movie is based on Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer and Big B plays the role of Vijay Barse. We don’t get to see Big B in the teaser, but there’s a dialogue mouthed by him and his voice is enough for us to get goosebumps. The legendary actor always tries to do something new and different with his every movie, and we are super excited to watch him on the big screen in Jhund.
Jhund marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Nagraj Manjule who has earlier directed some fantastic Marathi films like Fandry and Sairat. Reportedly, Sairat actors Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar will be seen in a cameo in the movie.
Well, with Jhund also releasing on 8th May, now there will four Bollywood films releasing on the same day. Apart from Jhund, Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi, Parineeti Chopra’s The Girl On The Train and Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara are also slated to release on 8th May 2020.
