Abhishek Bachchan to fill Sushant Singh Rajput’s shoes in RAW!

Touted to be one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood today, Sushant Singh Rajput currently has multiple projects in his hand, including Kedarnath, Chanda Mama Door Ke and a Hindi remake of Hollywood biggie, The Fault In Our Stars.

Besides all these movies, Rajput was also part of an espionage thriller called RAW – Romeo Akbar Walter. The actor had even shared the official poster of the movie on his social media accounts. Later it turned out that he has decided to bow out of the film.

But now, the project is back on track with a new leading star. Yes, the makers have roped in Abhishek Bachchan to replace Sushant Singh Rajput in the big-budgeted movie as they think that Junior B can do full justice to the role.

A source close to the development said, “The film will now have Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead role. It is based on true events. The director and producers feel Abhishek is perfect for the slick action-thriller.”

“Vanessa Walia, Bunty Walia’s wife, is one of the producers of the film. Bunty and Abhishek have known each other for years and are close family friends. So, when he liked the script, he okayed the film immediately”, the source added.

Abhishek Bachchan, who was last seen in the multi-starrer Housefull 3, will start preparing for the film with an intense fitness routine.
