A 26-year-old soldier in the UK is on trial for killing his ex-girlfriend by slitting her throat from ear to ear after she ended the relationship due to his “abusive” and “manipulative” behaviour. Lance Corporal Trimaan “Harry” Dhillon is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend Alice Ruggles’ flat and murdering in north-east England, the Newcastle Crown Court was told.
