The makers of the successful film franchise Hera Pheri (2000) has announced the next instalment of the series, tentatively titled Hera Pheri 3.Filmmaker Indra Kumar, who has helmed a plethora of comedies like Ishq (1997), Masti (2004) and Dhamaal (2007), has been roped in to take the franchise forward with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty joining the project to reprise their roles.
As per a source, the makers are planning to begin the production by the end of the year in a start-to-finish schedule of almost three months. “The project was locked last month after the three actors gave their dates. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year.”
Later, director Indra Kumar took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news. “This is going to be a fun project with a stellar star cast @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty @SirPareshRawal Looking forward to #HeraPheri3,” read his tweet.
Hera Pheri 3 will be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala who also produced the first two instalments of the series.
