Vishal Bhardwaj’s next Pataakha to open in theatres on 28th September

Renowned filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is ready to release his next film, Pataakha, on 28th September, 2018. The film features Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan in lead roles. Ace comedian Sunil Grover also plays a significant part in the movie.

When the project was announced, it was titled Chhuriyaan. However, Bhardwaj realized it very soon that it would create confusion among the audience as some might pronounce it as Chhodiyaan or Chhoriyaan. But before that would happen, he decided to change it with Pataakha.

The director feels that the new title goes well with the spirit of the movie. “Pataakha goes with the spirit of the film which is like a firecracker. And I liked the sound too. The first half is complete, we have just 12 days of shoot left and leave for Mount Abu on June 29 for the final schedule,” says Vishal.

Showering praises on his actresses, the acclaimed moviemaker says, “We already knew that Sanya is a very good actor but Radhika was a revelation. She’s fantastic! And the rapport between the girls is phenomenal.”

Pataakha is based on popular Hindi writer Charan Singh Pathik’s short story, Do Behnein.
