Karan Johar to rope in Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor for the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade?

It was a couple of days ago when Karan Johar announced that he will be producing the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Dear Comrade. The Telugu film will release on 26th July 2019 and even before its release, Karan decided to produce the remake. Well, we are now quite excited to know who will be starring in the Hindi remake of the film.

According to a report in a tabloid, Karan is planning to rope in Dhadak jodi, Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor to play the lead roles in the film. Ishaan and Janhvi’s chemistry was one of the highlights of Dhadak, which was a remake of Marathi film Sairat. Also, there have been strong rumours that Ishaan and Janhvi are dating each other. So, if these reports turn out to be true, it will surely be interesting to see them on the big screen again.


Currently, Janhvi has four films in her kitty. She will be seen in RoohiAfza, Gunjan Malhotra biopic, Dostana 2 and Takht. Meanwhile, Ishaan has been reportedly roped in to star in Ali Abbas Zafar’s production venture. However, an official announcement about the same is yet to be made.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy was remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film has turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office with the collection of above Rs 270 crore. It will surely be interesting to see what response the remake of Dear Comrade will get.

Usman Khawaja to retire after final Ashes Test, speaks on racial stereotyping
