Abhishek Chaubey and Sajid Nadiadwala in talks for a project?

Film enthusiasts are curious to know what director Abhishek Chaubey is working on next after the dismal performance of his latest directorial venture, Sonchiriya (2019). If latest reports are to be believed, the filmmaker is joining forces with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for his next offering.

Reportedly, Nadiadwala was looking for a director for his next commercial entertainer and thought that Chaubey would fit the bill. He enjoys Chaubey’s stories and direction and hence he might bring him onboard to direct the next venture for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

“Sajid bhai wants to roll a film which is an out-and-out commercial project, but which has the sensibilities of Abhishek Chaubey. Abhishek loves edgy subjects and the project that he would be doing with Sajid will be an edgy subject, despite the commercial trappings,” a source reveals to an Indian daily.

The source goes on to add, “Sajid was also one of the producers on Kalank (2019) with Karan Johar and he too wants to bounce back in style. He has other films up for release like Housefull 4, Super 30, and Chhichhore apart from Baaghi 3 and Kick 2 in the pipeline”.

An official announcement is awaited.
