Zayn Malik onboards mocktail brand Mixoloshe as co-owner

Zayn Malik has announced that he is joining alcohol-free drink brand Mixoloshe as the chief creative officer and co-owner.

To celebrate the announcement, the 30-year-old singer launched his first flavour for the brand—a non-alcoholic Lychee Martini.

The new flavour is described by the brand as “sweet, floral and slightly tropical”.

“The non-alcoholic beverage market is ready for disruption,” Malik said in a statement. “We see consumers already shifting preferences towards healthier and alcohol-free alternatives, which provides an opportunity for a brand like Mixoloshe to redefine this industry.”

“I could not be more excited about the chance to make some noise in the category of non-alcoholic beverages," Malik added in the statement, "and build one of the most talked about drinks in the world."

Elsewhere he also said, “I’m really excited about this new venture. I’ve been wanting to get involved in this market space for quite some time now—I didn’t want to just settle for any brand or company, though. It had to be right; the brand, partner, creative, and taste.”

Mixoloshe founder and CEO Kristina Roth said, “In the non-alcoholic market, the major issue we've identified is the difficulty in finding beverages that tick all the boxes; they must taste good, be authentic in flavour, clean in terms of ingredients, and affordable. We're dedicated to filling this void with a product that caters to the needs and desires of the majority of adults who aren't drinking, making non-alcoholic options as enticing and satisfying as their alcoholic counterparts.”
