Tina Dutta to topline &TV’s supernatural series Daayan

Popular television actress Tina Dutta, who rose to fame after playing the female lead in Colors’ well-received show Uttaran (2008-2015), has been away from the arc-light for quite a long time now. If you missed the actress all these years, here is an exciting piece of news for all of you.

According to reports, Dutta has been signed on to play the lead character in &TV’s forthcoming supernatural series Daayan. To be bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, the show is set to mount the shooting floor soon.

Interestingly, Tina Dutta was not the original choice for the lead character in Daayan. Before she came onboard, the makers had approached Adaa Khan for the role. However, the Naagin actress opted for Rashmi Sharma’s upcoming show Sitara over Daayan.

Sitara, to be aired on Colors, is also a supernatural series. The show is expected to hit the airwaves very soon.
