The first look of Ajay Devgn as Taanaji out

Superstar Ajay Devgn, who was last seen in Rajkumar Gupta’s successful film Raid (2018), is presently shooting for his most ambitious film, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. Based on the life of Maratha Empire’s military leader Tanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Maratha leader Shivaji Maharaj in a series of battles, the period drama is being made on a lavish budget.

The movie stars Ajay Devgn in the title role of Tanaaji. Today, the makers of the much-anticipated film unveiled his first look from the flick, and if his first look is anything to go by, then the audience needs to brace itself for a brilliant film high on action and drama.

In the first look shared by director Om Raut, Ajay is seen in Subedar outfit. Fierceness in his eyes makes it clear that he fears none when it comes to protecting his country and countrymen from enemies.

Aside from Ajay Devgn, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior also stars Saif Ali Khan, Suniel Shetty and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. Devgn’s wife Kajol is also rumoured to be playing an important character in the film.

Produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms and T-Series, the big-ticket film is expected to hit screens on December 22, 2019.
