Sushant Singh Rajput in talks to headline Saare Jahan Se Accha

Even before mounting the shooting floor, the upcoming biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma titled Saare Jahan Se Accha has become a topic of hot discussion in Bollywood. The movie was expected to start rolling in February, but superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s last-minute exit from the much-talked-about project left everyone shocked.

Before Shah Rukh Khan was approached for the role of Rakesh Sharma in the biopic, the makers had offered the same role to Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. But the latter could not do the flick for some reasons and suggested the makers to cast in Shah Rukh as he thought the Chak De! India (2007) actor would fit the role better.

Now with even SRK leaving the project, the makers are back to square one yet again. Reportedly, they have begun their casting process again for the coveted role of Rakesh Sharma. And if reports are to be believed, Sushant Singh Rajput has been approached to topline the project. However, the actor is yet to sign the project on the dotted line.

Sushant Singh Rajput is presently busy promoting his upcoming film Sonchiraiya, which releases on 1st March. He is also shooting for filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s next Chhichhore opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
