A couple of weeks ago, the shooting of Karan Johar’s production venture Jug Jugg Jeeyo was put on a halt as actors Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor, and director Raj Mehta were tested positive for Covid-19.

However, now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the shooting of the film will resume from 19th December 2020. While Neetu Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima had posted on Instagram that her mother has been tested negative, it is said that Varun and Raj have also been tested negative.

A source told the tabloid, “All the places where the trio had filmed were sanitised following the protocols laid down by the state government. The crew stayed in isolation and now that the trio has been cleared, the team is set to resume shooting from December 19 in Chandigarh.”

“During the quarantine period, they have devised a revised schedule and will be taking things easy on the set to ensure that the post-COVID fatigue does not take a toll,” the source added.

Reportedly, Neetu Kapoor has only four to five days of shoot left and others will shoot till 30th December, and then will return to Mumbai to welcome the New Year.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo revolves around two couples played by Anil Kapoor-Neetu Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan-Kiara Advani. The film also stars Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul. After the shoot was stalled, Paul had returned to Mumbai and was tested positive for Covid-19.
