Sharad Malhotra approached to play lead in Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki post leap?

Originally starring Rubina Dilaik and Vivian Dsena as the lead pair, Rashmi Sharma Telefilms’ Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has been one of the top-rated shows on Colors. The show began its journey in 2016 and pulled on the heartstrings of the audience right from the very beginning. Powered by an original storyline and consistently outstanding performances from the entire cast, it has always managed to find a place in top most-watched shows on Indian television.

However, Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki had a major setback when lead actor Vivian Dsena decided to walk out of the show just before the leap. And now, the makers are set to introduce yet another big leap wherein female lead Rubina Dilaik will also exit the show.

As we all know that the makers have signed on Jigyasa Singh and Simba Nagpal to play the new lead pair on the show. However, they were still not too sure about the new casting and had contacted actor Sharad Malhotra to play the male lead on the show.

“Makers were keen to cast Sharad Malhotra as the main lead for Shakti post leap. They, in fact, even reached out to Vivian for a fresh character in the show but obviously, Dsena turned it down. Sharad too was mulling over it but decided against it because he has just got a break and wants to give some time to himself. He also wants to headline a fresh project,” a source in the know reveals.

Sharad, who was last seen in Muskaan on Star Bharat, has been working non-stop for some time now. It will be really interesting to know if he agrees to do yet another daily soap. More details are awaited.
