Shaheer Sheikh clocks a decade in Indian television industry

One of the most popular and highest-paid television actors Shaheer Sheikh, who enjoys a massive fan following in various corners of the world, has completed a decade in the Indian television industry.

Sheikh made his acting debut with Swastik Productions’ show Navya a decade ago. His great acting ability coupled with inescapable charm made him a household name in no time. The actor even bagged several awards for his debut performance on Navya.


Since Navya, Shaheer has come a long way. Over the years, he has been a part of many high-profile shows, including Mahabharat and Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali. The actor is currently seen in the Ranjan Shahi-produced show, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, which is a spin-off of Star Plus’ leading show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

In a social media post, the actor thanked all his fans who congratulated him on completing 10 years in the industry. “Thank you so much for all the good wishes. Reading the tweets, I feel so lucky and fortunate to be able to touch so many lives. I am thankful to you guys for supporting me, believing in me and showering me with so much love,” wrote the actor.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
