Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba starts rolling

After wrapping up Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, uber-cool Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has now started shooting for his next film, Simmba. Helmed by hit filmmaker Rohit Shetty, the action entertainer also stars newcomer Sara Ali Khan as the female lead. The makers began production on Wednesday at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The film will be shot there in a start-to-finish schedule of two months.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing Simmba along with Rohit Shetty, shared an image from the sets of the film. The image featured him along with Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Rohit Shetty. The filmmaker captioned it as, "Winter just got hotter!!!! This December 28th,2018!!!! Simmba directed by Rohit Shetty starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan."


Not just an image, Karan Johar also shared a fun video from the sets, which is a proof that the team is going to have a gala time shooting the film at Ramoji Film City. In the short video, everyone is busy pulling each other’s leg.

Simmba is the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film, Temper, which was a massive blockbuster at the ticket window in 2015. The movie sees Ranveer Singh in the role of a corrupt cop who chooses the right path after falling in love with a simple and sober girl, the character played by Sara Ali Khan.

Made under the banners of Rohit Shetty Pictures and Dharma Productions, Simmba makes its entry into cinemas on 28th December, 2018.
