One of the hotly anticipated action-thriller films of 2018, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Baaghi 2 which stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in principal roles, has one more powerful name added to its brilliant star cast.
After Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda has now joined the cast of the film which is being directed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Ahmed Khan. Randeep, who was last seen in Salman Khan's Sultan, has earlier worked with Sajid Nadiadwala in his film Highway and 2014 directorial debut, Kick. Baaghi marks his third association with the renowned filmmaker.
Confirming the news, Randeep says, “Sajid Bhai has always been a guiding light and a friend who genuinely cares for me and my art. Our previous two collaborations have been landmarks in my career both commercially and critically. He always comes up with real gems and this one is special.”
A source close to the development reveals that this role will surprise the audience since Randeep is known for his powerful performances in critically acclaimed films. “He is expected to get his earlobes pierced and will sport dreadlocks with a funky wardrobe. His character is called LSD,” adds the source.
Baaghi 2 started its schedule in Pune on September 18 and after wrapping up the shoot in the city, the whole team moved on to Mumbai and continued shooting.
The film is scheduled to release on 27th April 2018.
