Priyanka Chopra might be cast as Aamir Khan's wife in a biopic!

If the latest media reports are to be believed, we may soon see India's international star Priyanka Chopra in the role of superstar Aamir Khan's wife in a biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma.

For the uninitiated, Rakesh Sharma made India proud all over the world by becoming the first Indian to travel in space in 1984.

A biopic on him is underway wherein Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan plays the titular role of astronaut Rakesh Sharma. According to reports, makers are considering PC to play his wife in the mega-budgeted project.

The movie was initially slated to mount floors in 2017, but the latest media reports suggest that the project will take off only in mid-2018 as Aamir is currently busy with his another film, Thugs Of Hindostan, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh. As of now, there is no official word whether the recent cast development will affect the timeline of the movie.

Aamir will start preparations for the Rakesh Sharma biopic after wrapping up Thugs Of Hindostan. We already had high hopes for the film with him at the helm, but with the addition of PC (if she comes onboard), our hopes are going to soar super high.

Meanwhile, Priyanka is currently in the US, shooting for one of her Hollywood projects. She will soon start shooting for the third instalment of her popular American show, Quantico.

Co-produced by Aamir Khan along with Siddharth Roy Kapur, the Rakesh Sharma biopic will be helmed by Mahesh Mathai.
